Dr. Lisa Voorhees, DVM
Dr. Voorhees is a small animal private practitioner who owns and manages her own relief practice in central North Carolina, NC Relief Vet. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Biology from Houghton College and then her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. After graduating, she worked for a year on the North Shore of Boston prior to moving to North Carolina in 2008 to be closer to family.
Dr. Voorhees started her relief practice in 2011 and has enjoyed the flexibility it provides to engage in some of her favorite hobbies. She loves rock climbing, yoga, archery, and reads several dozen books a year. Her ultimate goal is to go whitewater rafting and bouldering in Patagonia someday.
She lives near the Pinehurst golf resorts and enjoys spending time with her husband, mini Australian Shepherd ‘Emmy’ and cockatiel ‘Migo’.
